As a cookbook editor and foodie, my bookshelves are filled with cookbooks old and new, well-loved and some barely used. All cookbooks offer something: each one bought takes me back to a certain time, a certain memory. Cookbooks inspire and delight me. I relish in that feeling of reading a new recipe; the prospect of possible new flavour sensations to come. I decided to start a recipe and review blog with the intention of cooking up a storm from a range of my favourite cookbooks, old and new, adapting recipes here and there. I hope for this blog to play a part in documenting the histories of recipes tried and tested, things eaten and made, and a collection of thoughts on cookbooks read or food discovered.
